| Brownie gets a little help to stand up and have his first drink of milk |
When my host sister explained to me that there was a calf that would be born some time in the next week or so, there were a few things I did not realize:
1. That the mother cow belonged to my host family. I, for some reason, thought it was a neighbors cow that was about to have a baby. (1.a I did not realize that there were more than two cows, I guess I missed the pregnant one...)
2. That "sheidzleba some time this week" really meant "within the next half an hour"
3. That our host family was going to let us name the little guy! They seem to like "Brownie" ( I don't know why the first thing I suggested was Stanley)
Mike and I have still not stopped laughing at the fact that our host sister smiled and said "Gamarjobat, Brownie! Sheidzleba eat"
