A tour of our new home!

Hello! Mike and I have arrived in Ruisi! We did not, at first, have access to the internet but a colleague lent their modem and took us to the store to get a prepaid card, so for a while we have access! Our host family consists of the grandfather, mother, sister, and brother. The sister speaks a bit of English, but the rest know only a few words each. They are all very friendly, and the host mother is an amazing cook. This video shows our room and the view we have outside.

 The family lives downstairs, and Mike and I have a room on the second floor. Its a bit of a bummer if you have to pee in the middle of the night and its snowing, but other than that its great! We have a space heater, and a good amount of blankets. Last night our host sister showed us the electric blanket we didn't even know about, it is amazing how the little things in life can make you so happy.
